A slide deck you can forward as it is. Nothing in it needs a live connection or a login to read.
2. What happens after I submit?

You'll receive an email with a link to download the deck. Other emails arrive only if you opt in to product updates.
3. Is this the same deck as the cloud one?

This one is SAP BW only. The cloud edition has its own deck.
4. Can I try the product instead?

Yes. The trial runs in your own SAP BW system for 60 days from installation, and starts with a walkthrough from a senior consultant.
