Prices and licenses

Four licenses for NextTables on SAP Business Warehouse (BW), and two ways to buy each one: subscribe by the year, or purchase it outright. Unlimited users either way.

Pick the license, then pick how you pay

The license decides how many tables you can connect and how far your team can extend NextTables in ABAP.
Annual subscription and one-time purchase are the same license, bought two different ways.

A written offer for the license that fits your system track.

Two ways to buy

Rent the license, or own it

The license is identical either way. What differs is the commitment, and how maintenance is handled.

Subscription

You rent the license

In the subscription model you rent a NextTables license. The yearly price includes delivery and maintenance.

Billed annuallyMaintenance included

Purchase

You own the license

Purchase includes maintenance at 20% of the list price per year: Premium Support and every update.

One-time fee20% annual maintenance

Which model fits depends on your time horizon: subscription for a system that will be replaced, purchase for one you will rely on for years.

The same in every license

Unlimited users, your whole system track, and a full trial

Unlimited users

Every user in the SAP BW system can work in NextTables; your SAP authorizations decide who sees what.

Your whole system track

A license is generated for one system and covers development, QA, production, and sandbox. Two productive systems need two licenses.

A full 60-day trial

Every feature, for 60 days. Decide to buy during or after the trial and you get a new license key. Your installation and configuration stay exactly as they are.

More than 20 customers run NextTables in SAP BW, across 30-plus releases and counting. See what shipped in each one.

Frequently asked questions

1. Which pricing model is right for me?

It depends on your time horizon. A system that will be replaced soon is better served by the subscription. A system you will rely on for years is cheaper to own. When you purchase, the annual maintenance fee is 20% of the current list price of the corresponding NextTables on SAP BW perpetual license, unless your quote or order says otherwise, and list prices may be adjusted. Maintenance covers Premium Support and every update, including new releases and versions, for the maintenance term, and is billed annually in advance.

2. Is there a trial version?

Yes: every feature, free for 60 days, in your own SAP BW system. Buy during or after the trial and you receive a new license key. Your installation and configuration stay as they are. Get the trial transports.

3. How many users can use NextTables?

Every user in your SAP BW system, on one license. Access is decided by your SAP authorizations, the same way it is for any other transaction.

4. How many records per table can I have?

As many as your table holds. Point users straight at the rows that matter with global filters, and the grid opens on exactly that view.

5. How many systems can I cover with a license?

A license is generated for one system and covers its whole track: development, QA, production, and sandbox. Two productive systems need two licenses.

6. What is the installation process? What are the next steps?

Whether you buy or start with a trial, you first receive the installation files and a license key. Your SAP administrators import them, configure the back end, and activate the key. Once the admin authorizations are in place, you start connecting tables and filling in data.

7. Is there any documentation?

An installation guide arrives with the installation files. Beyond that, the Knowledge Base carries detailed explanations, code examples, and use cases.

8. How often is a new version delivered?

A major feature release once or twice a year, with smaller releases for improvements and fixes in between. Every version contains all features, improvements, and fixes to date, so you set your own update rhythm and can skip a version safely.

9. How does the update work and what are the costs?

You receive new installation files and import them into the system. Updates keep your configuration as it is, and your maintenance covers them at no extra cost.

10. What is included in Premium Support?

Premium Support covers the issues you report: we analyze them, come back to you within the agreed response time, and deliver a fix. It is included in every subscription and in every purchase under maintenance.

11. What services are included in the consulting service?

Whatever your team needs to get productive: onboarding, best-practice guidance, training and workshops, for example on extending or replacing an existing application with NextTables, and building BAdIs with your ABAP developers.

12. Can I book additional consulting services?

Yes, at any point. We work with you from first concept through to implementation.

13. Can I change my license at a later date?

Yes. When your requirements grow, tell us and we move you to the license that fits.

14. What if NextTables is missing a feature we need?

Tell us. Many NextTables features started as a customer request, and that exchange shapes the product. Your feature may already be planned for the next version.

15. What is BAdI support?

A Business Add-In (BAdI) is SAP's own way to extend an application in ABAP. Your team uses it to implement requirements specific to your business process: custom search helps, custom validations, or control over how NextTables reads and writes. The Knowledge Base has the details and code examples.
